I'm really excited about our new project, the chance to re-design a 12" vinyl sleeve of our choice. It was set to us by Peter Chadwick, a graphic designer and art director currently working for his own studio, Popular. This project will defiantly be a nice change, and i'm really looking forward to this opportunity to build upon my photography. The album I chose was 'Closer to God' by Nine Inch Nails, an album I find hugely inspirational and eventually found in a small Greenwich record store.
I feel that the complex industrial songs the Reznor composes in this album will really influence my work. Much darker undertones as present as well as the albums single 'closer' was written and recorded in the infamous 10050 Cielo Drive mansion, where the murders Sharon Tate and her guests took place. More to follow!
